Speed read: Irish adjust, snuff option

IrishIllustrated.com When describing the Navy option offense, speed doesn't come to mind.
But when the Midshipmen can gas the Irish defense after just one series, there's no avoiding the fact Navy can run by even the most athletic opponents. The Midshipmen rushed for 19 yards on their first play and 17 yards on their second during Notre Dame's 38-14 win at M&T Bank Stadium, knocking the Irish back on their heels for much of the first half.
