Gettis adjusts to new home
The season has started very well for Fort Zumwalt West running back Carl Gettis. In his first three games, Gettis has rushed for 161 yards with an average of 11.5 yards per carry, 9 catches for 178 yards, and 5 touchdowns. Gettis said that the numbers are not the most important thing to him so far this year.
Gettis, who last year played for Ezell-Harding High School in Nashville, TN, said that he has been hearing primarily from a school that was nearby but has also been recently hearing from a school in his new home state.
While Gettis said he does not currently have any offers, he hoped that after his strong start, schools would take notice. He also mentioned that talks with the Missouri coaching staff had encouraged him.
