Carlson turns in Herculean effort

IrishIllustrated.com NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The nickname isn't official, yet.
But if John Carlson keeps turning in career performances like the one he pieced together against Penn State, snaring six catches for a game-high 98 yards, there's no doubt the Irish will capitalize on a way to single out one of the team's most soft-spoken members.
"Hercules, you look at him, he's all cut up, chiseled," said safety Chinedum Ndukwe about Carlson. "It's hard guarding him in practice, I can only imagine for an opponent."
