While bringing in an official visitor right as the season starts is somewhat risky for any school, consider it more a matter of just trying to fit in for Spring Woods tailback Marcus Mendoza.

Mendoza says he will be making an official visit to Texas Tech this weekend.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound early graduate and speed burner lists Texas Tech, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Arizona and Nebraska among his favorites.
