No buts about Settle
MADISON, Wis. - John Settle has a no-nonsense approach to teaching running backs.
The first-year University of Wisconsin football assistant coach has kept the philosophy from an early age and it followed him throughout his playing career, which included stops at his alma mater, Appalachian State, where he finished his career as the school's all-time rushing leader (4,409 yards), and in the NFL, where he played for Atlanta Falcons and Washington Redskins and was named to the Pro Bowl in 1988.
As a coach today, Settle's philosophy is still in tact.
"My philosophy is that if you have to be somewhere I just expect you to be there. If something needs to be done I expect you to get it done," Settle explained last Wednesday.
