Offense finally shines in final preseason scrum
University of Colorado football fans have waited anxiously for the offense to turn the corner.
After being dominated by the defense in all three spring scrimmages and the first two scrums of preseason camp, the offense finally put some points on the board during their final preseason scrimmage on Friday afternoon.
Behind closed doors, the team scrimmaged using a playbook narrowed down to the plays they will use against Montana State.
"It was much, much cleaner offensively," head coach Dan Hawkins said after the scrimmage. "It was also much more efficient. I think there was only one turnover in the game which was the last play of the scrimmage.
"Walking away from the first couple scrimmages the defensive coaches were smiling, and maybe this one the offensive coaches are smiling a little bit more."
