Sooners land special commitment
With so few scholarship available for the recruiting class of 2007, the Sooners have been very selective in who they've offered. And their latest commitment is a great example of why the Sooners have to be so selective in their recruiting process.
The Sooners sent out a scholarship offer to a local special teams star, and just moments ago, that player accepted to become Oklahoma's seventh verbal commitment of the 2007 recruiting class.
The Oklahoma Sooners have landed their first special teams commitment of the 2007 class as Jimmy Stevens, a 5-foot-6, 170-pound kicker from Heritage Hall High School in Oklahoma City has committed to Oklahoma.
