Sunday practice report
The Trojans finished the weekend of practices with another great effort by the young and talented defense.
Much more than last season the secondary has been holding their own with the receivers. The new players have added much needed depth to compliment guys like cornerback Terrell Thomas. USCFootball.com interviewed Thomas after practice to get his thoughts on how camp was progressing.
"We are trying to change things around here," Thomas said after practice. "We have a good two years together as a whole unit and we are trying to change things by being more physical and just be better."
The attitude adjustment is apparent on the field. Instead of the receivers running wild they are constantly forced to make plays against one or two defenders in tight coverage.
"That wasn't us last year," Thomas said. "We look up to the people who played here before, they set a standard we have to live up to."
