DeSean Jackson Ready For Year Two
This time last year, DeSean Jackson was just a skinny freshman getting ready for his first training camp.
Sure, he was the No. 1-ranked receiver in the country coming out of high school, but nothing really prepares someone for that first go around at two-a-days.
Now, just a few months after concluding a debut season that included a a team-high 38 catches and seven touchdown receptions, his second training camp approaches. This time, he is ready to go, and while he's still pretty skinny to most people, he is also noticeably bigger and stronger than last August.
"I'm up to 170 pounds now, with my ultimate goal being to play at 175 pounds," said Jackson, who last season was maybe 165 pounds soaking wet. "This year I know what to expect, how to take care of my body and how to keep my mind focused."
