Change of plans
Christian Scott was hoping to make his way to Austin on Sunday to take an up close look at the Texas Longhorn program, but he had a last-minute change of plans. The Dallas Skyline standout was relying on his brother for a ride, and a Sunday morning phone call from his would-be transport put a halt to Scott's trip to the Forty Acres, and the high-profile safety still isn't happy about it.
The 6-foot, 185-pounder continues to weigh his options among a handful of scholarship offers - including Oklahoma, Texas A&M, LSU, Kansas State and Florida State, to name but a few. Longhorn fans were hoping Texas would vault up Scott's list after his visit or possibly even be in line for a commitment, but those dreams will have to wait. Scott did say he talked with Texas assistant coach Bruce Chambers to discuss the situation, and he's hoping to make it to Austin in the next two weeks.
