How has Franklin's plans to commit changed?
One of Arkansas top prospects made an unofficial visit to the Fayetteville campus last weekend and came away impressed and the result for Ole Miss is a delay in a possible commitment to the Rebels.
Jerry Franklin, a safety from Marion, still has a favorite and is still close to a possible commitment to the Rebels, but the talented safety is not going to rush into a verbal commitment.
Franklin said two weeks ago that he would likely make a decision about committing to Ole Miss after he camped at Arkansas.
"I still like Ole Miss a lot, I'm still close to committing to them but I have decided that I want to take a visit and see the atmosphere on a game day before deciding," Franklin said Tuesday night. "I had a great time at Arkansas. It was really nice. I did well and they seem to be very close to offering me also."
While Franklin has decided to wait before making a pledge, he did emphasize that he still likes the Rebels.
