Five-star checking out UCLA
Five-star defensive back Ronald Johnson of Muskegon, Mich., has had his name associated with a number of teams throughout the recruiting process. Many of those schools reside in the Midwest, but a couple Southern California teams have also piqued his interest. UCLA makes that list and has found a place in his top group over the summer.
Rated as the No. 20 overall prospect in the country and the No. 2 cornerback, Johnson has his pick of just about any school in the country. He said UCLA offered earlier in the process and he has since had his eye on them.
"I really haven't been talking to them as much, but I like UCLA and they are in the top ten on my list," Johnson said. "They are a real good team and I think about them too. They have a really good program, good coaching and the team did pretty good last year. They have good academics and it's hard to beat that also. That's one of the biggest things I look at."
