Still in the mix?
Overland Park (Kan.) Shawnee Mission West linebacker Blake Lawrence, who was recently named a four-star prospect as a member of the Rivals250 , is still a recruiting priority for new Wisconsin linebackers coach Dave Doeren.
Doeren has known Lawrence since recruiting his older brother, Tyler Lawrence, while coaching at Kansas. The elder Lawrence brother ended up signing to play quarterback for the Jayhawks as a member of 2006 class.
Still, Doeren has been unable to offer Lawrence a scholarship as part of the Badgers staff, but one-day camp could be the day he finally offers his guy.
At 6-foot-3, 205-pounds, Lawrence also plays quarterback and some schools are giving him a look there too, and the Badgers happen to be looking for a QB - or two - this recruiting cycle.
At this time and with close to 10 offers, Lawrence says he still isn't favoring any schools.
