First it was Christian Ballard and now it is Ryan Murphy. The talented, versatile athlete said he gave the Jayhawks a commitment on Thursday. Murphy plays quarterback for Free State, but said he expects to be a wide receiver at Kansas.

Murphy said the hardest recruiting interest came from Kansas, Oklahoma State, Iowa, and Kansas State. Murphy said Kansas assistant Clint Bowen was the lead recruiter for him and he is familiar with Bowen, who is a Lawrence product.
