Red Raiders offer Houston OL
Texas Tech lives and dies by the pass and that requires a top notch gunslinger to dish out the rock to the receivers. However, without a serviceable offensive line, no offense in this country can get off the ground. After taking 11 linemen in the last two recruiting classes, the Red Raider coaching staff could prove picky when it comes to Lone Star State linemen. Add one more to the fold, as 6-foot-6, 290-pound Mickey Okafor adds an offer from the Red Raiders.
"I've got five offers. Kansas, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, U of H (Houston), and Kansas State. I'm committed to U of H right now though," Okafor said.
It didn't take long for the Houston prospect to pull the trigger in favor of his hometown university. Okafor has been committed for over two months to the Cougars.
