Ready to shine
The headlines have been few and far between for Garland wide receiver Malcolm Williams ever since his March 25 commitment to the Texas Longhorns. It's not that Williams isn't a tremendous talent - he's one of the top players in the Lone Star State. Instead, it's been a case of Williams spending his time on the track as part of two Garland relay teams that participated in last weekend's state track meet.
Now, just 48 hours after running at the Mike A. Myers Track stadium in Austin, Williams has switched over to football mode. He was set to take part in Garland's spring practice on Monday and play in the program's spring game on Wednesday. After that, he'll again bring his talents to Austin to take part in a Texas mini-camp on June 4.
