4-star RB excited for weekend Oregon visit
Gainesville (Fla.) high school has plenty of talent and one of their top players is running back Tony James. The 5-foot-9, 175-pound all-purpose back is a blur on film and is generally the quickest guy on the field during any of his games.
That is one of the reasons the Oregon Ducks and a bevy of other teams are in hot pursuit of the four-star prospect.
For James and his Gainesville teammates, Friday marked an important 34-14 conference opening road win over Ocala (Fla.) Lake Weir to run their record to 3-1 on the year. James had 111 yards rushing in that game and by all accounts would have doubled that number had penalties not brought a few big plays back. Most of the output was in the second half as the Hurricanes entered the halftime locker room with a meager 3-0 lead.
