Freshmen backs continue to have right attitude
Under head coach Bo Pelini's watch at Nebraska there have been several different true freshmen running backs that have played, but we've also seen a handful of those players leave NU for various different reasons.
In 2009 Quentin Castille was dismissed from the program, in 2010 Dontrayevous Robinson left in pursue of more playing time, as did Aaron Green (2011) and Braylon Heard (2012).
All four of these players at one time showed great promise in the early stages of their career, but they also lacked a very important characteristic - patience. At a big time program like Nebraska, not every highly touted running back can play, because odds are there are two or three other highly touted running backs in the program from previous recruiting classes.
As running backs coach Ron Brown brings true freshmen running backs Adam Taylor and Terrell Newby through fall camp, he likes what he's seen already. However, maybe the thing Brown likes the most about his two talented four-star freshmen backs is both have the right attitude it takes to be successful at a program like NU.
