Changes ahead for Moss
E.J. Moss has some major changes ahead for his senior season.
The three-star athlete from Ashville, Ala., is making the move from quarterback to tight end and linebacker and hopes to impress more college coaches along with way with his versatility.
"I'm going to be playing tight end and linebacker this year so it'll be real different," Moss said. "I'm willing to take that risk of going to a different position. I'm a defensive player and I like to hit so it works out for me too. I really like it."
As a junior, Moss battled through an ankle injury as well as mononucleosis while the Bulldogs struggled to a 3-7 record.
Moss has been working hard this offseason packing on 15-pounds of muscle to his 6-foot-3 frame in order to prepare his body for the physicality of his new positions.
"I've been in the weight room everyday and sometimes twice a day," Moss said. "I'm just trying to get a lot better at those new positions. I went from 215 to 230 and I'm looking to gain a little bit more. I'd like to get to 240 before the season starts."
