Cotton making a name for himself
The word throwback probably best describes junior offensive lineman Jake Cotton.
By no means is he the flashiest lineman on Nebraska's roster, but he plays the game with a passion and fire that reminds you of a Husker player from the 80's or 90's.
After suffering a major knee injury in Oct. of 2011 the Lincoln Southeast product appears poised to win the starting left guard spot in 2013. In Nebraska's bowl game loss to Georgia Cotton saw plenty of meaningful snaps, and with the injury to Ryne Reeves last week, that means he should only see more reps with the top offense this spring.
Offensive line coach John Garrison likes what he's seen from Cotton thus far in spring practice.
