FT. WORTH, Texas -- Former Texas Tech guard Bean Willis said the locker room was the best place to be in the world after the Red Raiders notched a 65-47 win against Oklahoma on Feb. 11, 2012. That win had snapped an 11-game losing streak in the Big 12 Conference that season, but it proved to be the lone win Willis' squad would earn in league play.

So when Tech defeated TCU, 62-53, Saturday was it going to be another feel good story in the middle of what is supposed to be a rough season? Or would eight new Red Raiders act as if they had been there before, even if all but one of them had only one conference win under the belt at maximum?

But if you asked Tech head coach Chris Walker he would have said his team could have the win both ways.
