Please
note that The Board is not a reflection of Nebraska's official
recruiting board. Rather, it is a collaborative effort by the staff at HuskerOnline.com
that exists to give
fans a general idea of which prospects the Huskers may or may not be
pursuing. As recruiting is a fluid process, new information is always
being released; The Board will be updated accordingly.

The Board itself is fairly easy to interpret. The arrows in the
leftmost column indicate whether we feel Husker's chances with a
prospect are good (),
average () or
low
(). If, instead of an arrow, a prospect has
the "N" logo ()
next to his name, then he has verbally committed to the Huskers. Also
these are prospects we feel the Huskers have the BEST
chance of landing and style="font-weight: bold;">doesn't include
all
possible targets. Those
currently ranked will be at the top of
their position groups. Others not ranked at this time will be listed
alphabetically.

Stanton
was offered after
spending one day at NU's quarterback camp in June.
He made a second trip to Lincoln in late June before
committing to Nebraska in early July. Stanton is a true dual
threat quarterback that should fit in nicely into offensive coordinator
Tim Beck's system. Not only does he have the physical tools
to be successful at Nebraska but he is a natural leader on and off of
the field and posseses the intangible qualities of a winner.
In only one year as the starting quarterback at his school,
Stanton has already put together a solid resume, including winning a
state championship last season and being named an Elite 11 quarterback
this summer. He is heading into his senior season as the
leader his No. 1 nationally ranked Santa Margarita Catholic Eagles
squad and looking to repeat as a state champion before making his way
to Lincoln.

sophomore season.  He missed his junior season due to an ACL
tear
in his first game but as battled back strong.  He's rushed for
over 2,000 yards and 32 touchdowns on his quest for a state
championship this season.  At one time it appeared that Taylor
was
bound for LSU but things did not work out.  Nebraska stuck
with
Taylor and landed the classic Big Ten/SEC style running back shortly
after his visit for the Penn State game.  Taylor fits the mold
for
Nebraska on and off of the field.  He's a focused individual
that
cares more about the bigger picture of helping his team succeed than
his own personal fanfare.  A great addition to this recruiting
class, he leaves the door open for Nebraska to potentially add another
speed back to complement his style.

a long way in finally securing his commitment in early June. Gladney is
a very well rounded receiver that will fit into Nebraska's
offense nicely. He has great hands, runs great routes, and has above
average speed that will help him make the transition to the next level.
The most impressive thing about Gladney may be his overall leaping
ability and body control. He has ball skills that you can't
teach. Gladney is a solid pick-up for Nebraska not only because
he's a good player at a position of need but also because
Nebraska beat out several other conference foes to land him.

persistence.  Look for the coaching staff to try and get
Rodgers and fellow Maryland native and Husker commit Marcus Newby to
visit on the same weekend to help their chances.

Nebraska's
recruitment of Samuelson was fast and furious this spring. Once the
coaching staff saw him on film they made arrangements to stop by his
high school to offer. Coincidentally, Nebraska entered the picture just
as Samuelson had committed to Pittsburgh. Wanting to make sure he had
made the right choice, Samuelson made a low key visit to Nebraska and
quickly fell for the Huskers. Subsequently, Samuelson de-committed from
Pitt and secured a spot in Nebraska's class. His change of
heart
for Nebraska was cemented after a successful visit for the Big Red
Weekend. Samuelson is a big, athletic lineman that has the versatility
to play multiple positions across the line. It's likely that
he
will be an interior lineman for Nebraska the future though.

Nebraska
was
in the market for a long snapper this recruiting cycle with no
sure-fire candidate to replace long snapper P.J. Mangieri. In order to
find the best available snapper in the country the Husker coaching
staff reached out to long snapping guru Chris Rubio for a referral.
Rubio steered NU to one of his prized pupils in Gabe Miller. Miller was
a surprise visitor for the Big Red Weekend where he worked out for
Nebraska and earned a scholarship. Committing to Nebraska before he
left campus, Miller became the likely snapper for NU from the minute he
steps on campus. Rubio describes Miller as a tireless worker who is
dedicated to perfecting his craft. There has got to be some relief
knowing that a crucial, yet underrated, position on the field is taken
care of for the foreseeable future.
