Millard gaining confidence entering sophomore season
With the introduction of Dana Holgorsen's new offense entering last season, the entire offensive roster was starting on a level playing field. However, with no peer advice to lean on in learning the ropes of the offense, true freshman can understandably find themselves behind the eight ball throughout the year.
This is the situation sophomore quarterback Paul Millard found himself in last year. Entering the 2011 campaign, the freshman Millard was number two on the Mountaineers' depth chart, behind Geno Smith, whose injuries in the spring had many West Virginia fans concerned.
Entering this spring; however, Millard finds himself in a more comfortable role, backing up the potential Heisman candidate, with a year of experience and thousands of reps under his belt.
