Bulldogs don full pads
Mississippi State donned full pads for the first time this spring.
The Bulldogs worked for around two hours going full speed in their full gear wrapping up their third day of practice. Head coach Dan Mullen had mixed reviews for the day but tried to keep things in perspective.

"It was sloppy at times today but when you're doing it and we're getting so many different guys reps out there going one's, two's and three's you've really got to look and evaluate it on film to know the relevant improvement of certain players. You might have a disappointing moment from a third or fourth string walk-on who went the wrong way on a play and it looks bad but I don't think that's going to affect us winning or losing games next year. We've got to evaluate who is improving and getting themselves ready to play."
There was one aspect of practice that Mullen was pleased to see.
