James enjoys Iowa visit
Iowa's junior day on Sunday gave Wisconsin defensive end Alec James a chance to return to the state where he was born. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound James lived in the Cedar Falls area when he was younger before relocating with his family to Brookfield, WI, where he has turned in to an all-state football player at East High School.
"I was actually born in Iowa and I moved up to Brookfield, Wisconsin in 2000 when my mom got a job up here," said James. "My grandparents still live in Iowa and I have a couple aunts and cousins that live there too so it's always nice going back."
As a junior, James racked up 84 tackles and 12.5 sacks for Brookfield East, earning several post-season honors. That production has led to a lot of college interest, including some from the Hawkeyes, who impressed the Class of 2013 prospect at their junior day this past weekend.
