Defense ready for Vandy
Razorback defensive coordinator Willy Robinson wants his defense to perform better earlier against Vanderbilt on Saturday, a team that is capable of keeping them on the field like Ole Miss did last weekend.
"I think they'll go in with the same game plan that Ole Miss did and try to control the ball and try to make sure that they keep the offense off the field as much as possible, and they have the capability of doing that. They have three returning starters on the offensive front. They have a running back that is explosive, he really is," Robinson said.
The Hogs came back from a slow start, down 17 points in the first half, to win 29-24 in Oxford, but Arkansas needs to find some answers for why they are starting slow on offense and defense.
"We just come out and are not communicating as well as we do in the second half," Hog linebacker Jerico Nelson said. "We end up giving up cheap yardage and big plays early in the game but end up fixing them later.
