The situations are very similar to a season ago. West Virginia enters the contest against Syracuse as a nationally ranked 5-1 team coming off a Big East Conference victory at home, while the Orange come in at 4-2 with one conference loss under their belt.

But the Mountaineers hope the similarities end there, and are looking to score a victory in the series after the 19-14 upset by the Orange a season ago.
