Returning starters: 'D' young but hungry
While the West Virginia defense only returns four starters from last year's record setting unit, those starters must step up and play a key leadership role if the young defense hopes to return to it's form from a year ago.
The younger defense consistently got the best of the offensive unit during the spring as the offense adjusted to new schemes, but the tables were turned during the spring game when the offense racked up 83 points and 838 yards.
And with a slew of new faces from a year ago on the defensive side, West Virginia will need leadership from those that have experience and have been through the battles in the Big East.
