After visiting with the West Virginia staff over the last two weeks, 6-foot-4, 185-pound cornerback Tyvis Powell named the Mountaineers his No. 1 school on Tuesday.

"I'm truly considering West Virginia. They're my No. 1 school. I went down to their spring game and I loved it. The people were nice, the game was 'rockin', and I love that third-down package they have," he said before an afternoon track met.
