Tulsa Scrimmage Report
On Saturday, the Tulsa football team practiced for two hours in helmets and shoulder pads, ending the workout with a 45-minute, 68-play scrimmage. It was the Golden Hurricane's fifth spring practice overall, with the team running through fifteen series in the situational scrimmage.
Senior quarterback G.J. Kinne and red-shirt freshman Kalen Henderson led the offense on Saturday. Junior quarterback Shavodrick Beaver didn't see action, as he has been wearing a green jersey this spring, signifying the fact he is limited in workouts due to injury.
The first-team offensive unit included Kinne, RB Trey Watts, TE Clay Sears, WR Damaris Johnson, WR Jordan James, LT Tyler Holmes, LG Clint Anderson, C Trent Dupy, RG Stetson Burnett and RT Joe King.
The offense took its' opening possession 30 yards and settled for a 48-yard Kevin Fitzpatrick field goal, as Kinne completed passes of eight yards to Bryan Burnham and 18 yards to Willie Carter.
