Johnson has career night in blowout victory

JayhawkSlant.com Elijah Johnson wasted little time taking full advantage of the opportunity he was presented on Monday night. Starting in place of Tyshawn Taylor, who has been suspended indefinitely by Bill Self, Johnson, the 6-foot-4, 195-pound guard from Las Vegas, Nev., responded by scoring a career-high 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field, including 4-of-4 from behind the arc. It was certainly a memorable outing for Johnson, who appears to have earned a spot in the starting rotation for the foreseeable future.
