UCLA has an outstanding tradition of walk-on players doing well and earning scholarships. Bruins head coach Rick Neuheisel went from walk-on to Rose Bowl MVP. Redshirt sophomore Andrew Abbott has joined the ranks of those who, through hard work, talent and persistence, have moved from walk-on to scholarship athlete.
