Rose blooms into D-I prospect
By all accounts, Kansas City (Mo.) Rockhurst junior-to-be Michael Rose was the top linebacker prospect overall at both sessions of NU's Big Red Football school this summer. That was further confirmed when Husker defensive coordinator Carl Pelini recently phoned Rockhurst head coach Tony Severino.
The 6-foot, 215-pound Rose became the first verbal pledge to the Huskers' recruiting class of 2012 shortly after the June camps. It came as no surprise to the Hawklets' head man that his promising young defender would be an early commit and jump at the chance to play his college ball in Lincoln.=
