Could another member of Georgia's football team be considering a transfer from the Bulldogs?
It looks that way.
Wednesday, sophomore linebacker Mike Gilliard said in a text to UGASports that he was considering leaving the team in order to transfer to another school.
"I was thinking about it," said Gilliard, who has not made a final decision.
UGA sports information Claude Felton did not know if the Valdosta native had met with head coach Mark Richt to discuss a possible transfer.
Sources tell UGASports that two schools Gilliard is considering include Central Florida and South Florida.
Gilliard appeared in 12 games for the Bulldogs last fall, collecting seven tackles, including a season-high three against Tennessee Tech.
He was listed at second on Georgia's post-spring depth chart behind starter Akeem Dent at Moe.
Gilliard is the second Bulldog to be confirmed considering a transfer. Two weeks ago, Georgia officials confirmed that backup quarterback Logan Gray met with Richt to discuss a possible transfer and or position change.
Gray has not yet made a decision.
