Northern Iowa ends KU's dream season

JayhawkSlant.com Oklahoma City, Okla. -- The top seed in the field of 64 didn't make it out of the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament. Kansas, the overall favorite to cut down the nets in April, suffered a shocking loss to Northern Iowa, 69-67, on Saturday night. Following KU's early exit, there wasn't a dry eye in the locker room. The Jayhawks, after a brief cooling off period, were left to wonder why their season came to a crashing halt.
