KU survives first round scare
Oklahoma City, Okla. -- Sherron Collins found himself surrounded by a room full of local and national reporters shortly after top-ranked Kansas defeated Lehigh, 90-74, in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Thursday night. The Jayhawks struggled to pull away from the Mountain Hawks until Bill Self's squad made a run late in the second half. Collins, who scored 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting, showed no signs of panic in the locker room. The senior guard was one of five players to score in double-figures, including a career-high 26 from Marcus Morris.
