Gholston says official visit was special
Five-star Spartan commitment William Gholston has made countless unofficial visits to Michigan State since the Spartans made him one of their top recruiting priorities for 2010 during the summer before his junior season at Detroit Southeastern.
But the 6-7, 237-pound defensive standout ranked the No. 21 overall player in the senior class said that his latest visit to East Lansing was special.
Gholston was one of several Spartan football recruits on campus last weekend for an official visit. While at Michigan State, the state's top player bonded with current members of the Spartan football team and members of the 2010 recruiting class that were also in East Lansing for their official visits. The Jungaleer star also did his part to convince the uncommitted visitors to join him at Michigan State.
"I really liked walking around campus and seeing how life is going to be for me next year," said Gholston. "It's a very beautiful place, it's really cool."
