This afternoon Minnesota improved to 11-3 on the season and 2-0 in conference play when they defeated Iowa 86-74 in Iowa City, Iowa. The effectiveness of the Gopher ball pressure produced a quick 21-4 lead and 18 first half turnovers from the Hawkeyes.
