Green stars for talented UGA squad
Georgia is just 5-4 on the season but the home-standing Bulldogs will still put plenty of talent on the field in Saturday night's game against Auburn.
Perhaps the most dangerous will be wide receiver A.J. Green.
The sophomore leads the SEC with 5.5 receptions per game and 91.5 receiving yards per game. He's also hauled in six touchdowns.
"A.J. Green is a great talent," AU head coach Gene Chizik said. "He has a lot of range and speed. He is their go-to guy.
"They take a lot of shots down the field to him."
As a true freshman last year, Green burned Auburn for 81 yards on five catches including a 17-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter that proved to be the difference in UGA's 17-13 win at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
Green missed UGA's last game with a bruised lung but returned to practice this week and is expected to start against the Tigers.
