Cadogan has a great time
One of the players the Spartans had on campus this weekend was Sherard Cadogan of Camden Catholic High School in New Jersey. The 6-foot-3, 227-pound prospect is one of the top recruits on the board for Coach Dantonio and the Michigan State. SpartanMag.com has some details about his visit to East Lansing.
Cadogan traveled to East lansing with his father and arrived Saturday morning. Due to it being a night game, the schedule of events was a little different than normal. Cadogan was able to spend some time talking with Coach Dantonio prior to the game. The 3-star prospect induicate dtaht Coach Dantonio made it clear they really would like to have him playing in Green and WHite.
"He said how much the really like me and that right now they like me as both an tight end and as a defensve end. It really doesn't matter to me, wherever I go, I just want to help the team win."
So what were your overall impression of Michigan State?
"It was great, I had a great time there," Cadogan said. "I got to spend time with the players and the coaches. They all were great. The game was awersome too. I loved the atmosphere. Losing in the last seciond was a heartbreaker, but both teams played really hard."
Do you have aplan as far as what yor next step is asd far as recruiotng?
"Right now, no. I still have visit set up to South Carolina in November. I have visited 4 schools. I enjoyed all for visits and they are all great schools. I will probably sit down with my family and narrow things down a bit and go from there."
Cadogan was hosted by felowo New Jersey native OPren Wilosn on his visit. Coach Pat Narduzzi, who has family ties himself to teh garden State serves as teh primry recruiter of Cadogan for Michigan State.
Spartanmag.com will be sure to follow-up with Cadogan in teh near future.
It is very possible that due to the official visit falling on a night game and Caogan flying out on Saturday, the Spartan staff will try and get him back on campus in the coming weeks. The Penn State game could be a potential target date, with big recruiting and bowl implaictions on the line.
