First Look: Texas Tech
Texas Tech was supposed to have a down season in 2009 after losing Graham Harrell and Michael Crabtree to go along with several more key ingredients of a one-loss team on 2008, and it certainly looked that way after a 2-2 start. But now those two losses are in the distant past after Tech rebounded by throttling Kansas State and then methodically taking care of then-No. 15 Nebraska in Lincoln, 31-10.
It's obvious that the Red Raiders (5-2, 2-1 Big 12) offense under head coach Mike Leach is the ultimate plug-and-play system where it seems that just about anyone can slide into a spot and succeed. There is no doubt that Tech will put up points a gaudy numbers every week on offense, but it's the defense that is fueling the resurgence in 2009.
